Powerbay PBG3 Series Water Heater Integration Guide
To ensure your water heater integrates smoothly into the HEMS system, please follow the steps below:
Step 1 – Confirm connection methods and interface parameters
The enjoyelec HEMS Controller supports Modbus-TCP communication with most PBG3 Series water heater models. An Ethernet cable or a Wi–Fi connection is required to link the two devices.
Please refer to the PBG3 Series water heater User Manual to identify the IP address of device, verify the factory default parameters, and understand how to modify them if necessary.
Step 2 – Configure interface parameters in the enjoyelec app
After completing physical wiring, power on both devices. Open the enjoyelec app to add the device and enter the communication parameters that match your actual setup.
(For step-by-step app instructions, please refer to the enjoyelec User Manual.
Once configured, the Powerbay PBG3 Series water heater will be fully integrated into the HEMS, enabling you to monitor real-time data and control the device remotely via the app.
Detailed Example: Integrating Model PBG3-320RE-HYBRID
Step 1 – Identification and Verification
Connect the PBG3-320RE-HYBRID model to the HEMS Controller via Modbus TCP. Check and confirm the IP address of the device.
- Log in to the router to view the device's IP address. Scan the QR code of the Wi-Fi module on the back of the display to obtain the MAC address. Locate this MAC address in the router client list to find the assigned IP address of the water heater.

- Default port: 502
- Default Modbus Address: 1
Step 2 – App Configuration
With the physical connection established:
- Select Device: In the enjoyelec app, choose the correct device type, brand (POWERBAY), and model.

2. Set Protocol: Define the communication protocol and matching parameters (IP/Port/Address).

3. Establish Connection: Once saved, the Controller will pair with the water heater. You can then monitor real-time energy performance and enable dynamic energy management.
